Inside the Lady Bearcats Season
Brescia University women's tennis student-athlete 2019 season review:
The 2019-2020 school year was full of ups and downs for the Brescia women's tennis team.
The players worked hard to prepare themselves for the season, but injuries caused the Lady Bearcats not to play a Fall season.
With the advent of the COVID-19 global pandemic and the majority of the Spring season closing down, we take a look back at the season with a peek to the future.
The women's team started with key wins against Oakland City University and Alma College. The team then fell to Bethel University, Georgetown, and IU- Southeast, finishing the season 2-3 overall and 0-1 in the conference.
In Head Coach Will Riley's debut game, "the Lady Bearcats looked great and we were hoping for a good season but things happen for a reason," said Riley.
"The Lady Bearcats fought hard all year and laid the platform for the future. They return the majority of the team plus a couple of new additions on the women's side," said Riley.
The team is looking for a complete season this Spring 2021 and to build a great team morale and to be a positive fixture in the community as well.
