Women's Volleyball Falls on the Road to Bethel
MCKENZIE, TN – The Brescia University women’s volleyball team had their second meeting with the Bethel Wildcats Tuesday. The Bearcats dropped the contest 3-0 to extend their overall record to 1-12.
MCKENZIE, TN – The Brescia University women's volleyball team had their second meeting with the Bethel Wildcats Tuesday. The Bearcats dropped the contest 3-0 to extend their overall record to 1-12.
The Bearcats would take the early 2-0 lead in set one on attack errors from the Wildcat offense. Bethel would work their way back into the lead, scoring nine unanswered points. Brescia was able to get within two of the lead but was unable to closeout set one as the Wildcats pulled away with a 25-16 win.
Bethel would pick up set two right where they left off in set one with an early 5-0 lead. The Bearcats struggled to match the Bethel offense as the Wildcats took a commanding lead that would eventually give them the two-set advantage. The Bearcats would only score 11 points in set two as the Wildcats take the set, 25-11.
The Bethel Wildcats would again dominate in the third set as the Bearcats struggled to put points together. Ultimately, the Bearcats would walk away with a 3-0 loss to Bethel as the Wildcats took set three, 25-10.
Jasmin Jones ended with 11 kills while Olivia Shaver assisted nine times. Kaitlyn Orange also led the team in digs with 12.
Women's Volleyball returns to conference play as they travel to Rio Grande, OH to take on the Red Storm of Rio Grande on Friday with a start time of 6pm CT.
