Women's Cross Country Competes at RSC Preview
This past weekend the Women's Bearcat Cross Country team ran at the Asbury University Invitational, the site of their conference race. The women ran well considering this was the toughest course they have seen this year. Freshman Madeline Jones led the charge with a time 22:27 finishing 18th and earning a shirt for her accomplishments. Sophomore Autumn Tonkins ran a 24:47, with freshman duo Alexis Kaufer and Ashlie Carpenter rounded out the young squad with times of 24:59 and 25:11 respectively.
"I expect to see our women have a breakout race at the conference meet in two weeks. They got to experience Asbury's course for the first time and now know what to expect. We will put in the work this week and be ready to go November 4th," said Head Coach Luke Stoffel.
The Lady Bearcats are off this weekend and will return to the Asbury course on November 4th for River States Conference Meet.
