Lady Bearcats Fall to 4-0 Oakland City

OWENSBORO, Ky. – The Brescia University women's basketball team dropped their second conference game in a loss to division rival, Oakland City. The Bearcats extended their overall record to11-4 and RSC record to 3-2.

Turnovers seemed to make the difference in this low scoring affair as 10 giveaways led to just a 17-10 lead for the Bearcats in the first quarter. BU started to connect offensively to start the second quarter as they pushed out on a 10-0 run, maintaining their seven-point advantage. With just seconds remaining until the half, OCU cut the lead to six with a made layup.

The Bearcats struggled to take care of the ball as the Mighty Oaks outscored the Bearcats 42-26 in the second half to remain undefeated in conference play as they take the win, 69-59.

Jenna Krampe and Cassidy Morris were the only Bearcats in double digits as they combined for 15 rebounds.

The Bearcats are set to take on #11 Rio Grande at home this coming Saturday, Jan. 18 at 3pm CT.
