The Lady Cats Are Red Hot After Third Straight Win
LAWRENCE, Ks. – The Brescia University women’s basketball team continues their hot streak with a win over Mission University, 73-52, for their seventh win of the year. The Bearcats improve their record to 7-3 overall on the season.

BU was fueled by the momentum after their win last evening as they shot lights out for 21 points in the first quarter. Cassidy Morris kept the hot hand off her 19-point performance as she shot 4-6 from the floor for nine points in the opening minutes. The Lady Cats shot 50% in the second quarter, outscoring the Patriots 20-16 taking a 22-point lead going into the break.
Hailee Johnson came off the bench in the third to put up eight points with two threes over defenders. Jenna Krampe helped turn Mission misses into Bearcats possessions with six rebounds and eight points of her own. Despite being outscored 15-9 in the fourth, the Bearcat lead was insurmountable as they take the 21-point win over the Patriots.
The Bearcats shot 42% from the field with 24 points in the paint as they win the battle of the boards, 48-29.
Senior, Cassidy Morris, adds 19 more points as she has scored 38 in the last two games along with 10 rebounds and five assists on the night. Hailee Johnson scores her season high of 13 going 4-9 from the field with three threes and six rebounds. Jenna Krampe does what she does best putting up a 12-point, 16 rebound (career high) double-double in 28 minutes.
The Lady Cats will travel to St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, IN on Tuesday Dec. 16 for the first conference matchup of the season. Tipoff will be at 5pm CT.
