Duda Feres got the Bearcats on the board first with an impressive skill touch past two IUC defenders as she put the ball in the bottom left corner of the goal. A cleared ball in the midfield would lead to a run by Maggie Davis on the left wing where she would find Feres for yet another goal in the box at the 19-minute mark. Up two nil, the Bearcats continued their scoring streak as a pass from Maci Uffelman found Isabella McChessney for the third goal in the first half. Victoria Poon jumped in on the action as she netted her first goal of the season on a deflected assist from McChessney.
IUC flipped the script to start the second half as they netted their one and only goal on a penalty kick. The Bearcats answered back just a minute later as McChessney found the back of the net for her second goal of the night. BU closed out the night preventing another goal from the Crimson Pride as they took their conference opener, 5-1.
The Lady Bearcats head to Rio Grande, OH this Saturday to take on the Redstorm in another conference matchup with a kickoff time of 2:30pm CT.
