Volleyball Falls to SMWC on the Road
TERRA HAUTE, IN – After winning set one in comeback fashion, the women’s volleyball team dropped the next three sets as they take the loss to St. Mary of the Woods on the road. The Bearcats extended their record to 6-21 overall and 2-8 in conference play.

TERRA HAUTE, IN – After winning set one in comeback fashion, the women's volleyball team dropped the next three sets as they take the loss to St. Mary of the Woods on the road. The Bearcats extended their record to 6-21 overall and 2-8 in conference play.
After falling to a 10-5 Pomeroys lead in set one, a four-point surge by the Bearcats turned the tide as BU tied the score 14-14. Back-to-back kills by Jasmin Jones made the difference as they Bearcats took set one, 25-22. Attack errors riddled the Bearcat offense in set two as SMWC ties the set count in the 25-12 win.
The Bearcats tried to battle back in the next two sets as they struggled to connect as they take the loss, 3-1.
Callie Mason led the team with 20 kills as Jones followed behind with 12. Cheaney Archer assisted her fellow Bearcats 43 times with 11 digs. Campbell McBride, Katie Fitzgerald, and Kennedy Murphy combined for 42 digs in the Bearcats back row.
The Bearcats will take on Alice Lloyd on the road this coming Friday, Oct. 25th, with a start time of 6pm CT.
